A major convenience retailer was offering 300 digital products from many different vendors, until one day they could no longer deliver the services due to a series of fraudulent attacks and vendor changes. They needed a new POS integration vendor, fast.
Their e-services business included pre-paid cards, bill payments, tolling, gift cards, and more. It generated a significant amount of revenue, but it became too risky to continue delivering digital offers. They had to find a more reliable way to digitally integrate with their e-services vendors while offering the same products.
POS paralysis was setting in. The retailer had over 600 sites, many digital vendors, and no way of connecting them to their existing POS system.
